Privilege Card Tiers Compared
Which Privilege Card tier is worth the money?
Cost per year runs from THB 130,000 on Bronze to THB 250,000 on Reserve. Platinum is the first tier that accepts family, and at THB 150,000 a year it is cheaper per year than Gold. Diamond costs more per year than Platinum and buys fifteen years in one purchase. Bronze is the cheapest, closes at the end of 2026 and allows no dependants.
Cost per year
| Tier | Fee | Years | Per year | Family |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bronze | THB 650,000 | 5 | THB 130,000 | no |
| Gold | THB 900,000 | 5 | THB 180,000 | no |
| Platinum | THB 1,500,000 | 10 | THB 150,000 | yes |
| Diamond | THB 2,500,000 | 15 | THB 167,000 | yes |
| Reserve | THB 5,000,000 | 20 | THB 250,000 | yes |
Read that table for what it is. Bronze is the cheapest per year. Platinum is cheaper per year than Gold. Reserve is the most expensive per year by a wide margin.
So the tiers are not a straight value ladder. Each one is a different trade between upfront cash, commitment length and benefits.
Bronze
THB 650,000 for five years, THB 130,000 a year. No points, no family, no lounge access beyond the standard premium lane.
This is the entry product and it does the core job: legal long stay with no income test, one year per entry, multiple entry.
It is currently a limited promotion running to 31 December 2026. If the programme ends the tier, the cheapest way in becomes Gold at THB 900,000.
Best for: solo applicants who want the cheapest legal long stay without evidence requirements and do not care about perks.
Gold
THB 900,000 for five years, THB 180,000 a year. Twenty privilege points a year, redeemable against transfers, spa and golf.
You are paying THB 250,000 more than Bronze for the same five years, and what you get is points and an upgrade path. Bronze cannot be upgraded, Gold can.
That upgrade path is the real reason to pick Gold over Bronze. If you might extend your stay, Gold lets you move to Platinum or Diamond later by paying the difference. Bronze locks you at five years.
Best for: people who are fairly sure they want more than five years but do not want to commit the capital yet.
Platinum
THB 1,500,000 for ten years, THB 150,000 a year. Family eligible. Thirty five points a year. Lounge access, annual health checkup, included limousine transfers.
This is the value inflection. It is cheaper per year than Gold, twice as long, and it is the first tier that lets family join. That means a spouse, children and your own parents.
Additional family members cost extra, currently THB 750,000 per person under a promotion that runs to the end of 2026, against a standard THB 1,000,000.
Best for: couples and families. This is the tier most people should default to if they are choosing a Privilege Card at all.
Diamond
THB 2,500,000 for fifteen years, THB 167,000 a year. Fifty five points. Complimentary domestic flights. Enhanced limousine quota. Invitation to private events.
Per year it is slightly more expensive than Platinum. What you buy is length: fifteen years covers an early retiree from their late forties into their sixties without any renewal decision.
Best for: early retirees under 50 who want a single purchase to cover the next decade and a half, and who would otherwise be cycling DTVs.
Reserve
THB 5,000,000 for twenty years, THB 250,000 a year. By invitation only. One hundred and twenty points. Unlimited limousine. Access to the Reserve Club.
This is a status product, not a value product. Per year it is nearly double Platinum. If you are optimising cost per year of residence, Reserve is the wrong answer at any wealth level.
Best for: people for whom the club access and invitation status are the point. That is a real market, just not a rational one.
The break points
If you are solo and cost focused: Bronze, if it is still available when you apply. Otherwise Gold.
If you are a couple: Platinum, without much debate. It is the first family tier and it is cheaper per year than Gold.
If you are under 50 and want maximum years: Diamond. Fifteen years from age 45 covers you to 60, which is when O-A becomes available and the whole calculation changes.
If you want the cheapest possible legal stay: this is not the right product. Compare a DTV first.
The family arithmetic
Platinum with a spouse: THB 1,500,000 plus THB 750,000 promotional next member fee, so THB 2,250,000 for ten years for two people. That is THB 112,500 per person per year.
Compare two DTVs: USD 400 each, once, for five years, plus THB 500,000 parked per person. If you have the money to park, the DTV is an order of magnitude cheaper.
The Privilege Card only wins when the parking requirement is the obstacle.
Watchpoints
- Bronze closes 31 December 2026 and cannot be upgraded.
- Gold is the cheapest upgradable tier.
- Platinum is cheaper per year than Gold and accepts family.
- Reserve is the most expensive per year of all five.
- Family add-on fees are promotional until the end of 2026.
- Points are a lifestyle discount, not a return on capital.
- If you can park THB 500,000, compare the DTV before buying any tier.
