The records behind this site are served over MCP, so an assistant can ask what a passport gets you at the border of Thailand, or which long stay routes Malaysia runs, and get the same answer the page gives, dated, with the source and the URL it came from.
The endpoint
https://stayingasia.com/api/mcp/
Streamable HTTP, stateless, JSON responses. There is no key and no account, and nothing is stored between requests. Use the address with the trailing slash.

} Claude Desktop, which only runs local servers, goes through a bridge:

node site/mcp/server.mjs starts the same server over stdio.
What an answer looks like
Asking for a United Kingdom passport into Thailand returns:
United Kingdom passport into Thailand
Category: Visa exemption
Days on entry: 30 days
Extension: One 30 day extension at immigration, THB 1,900
Note: Tourism only. Land border entries are capped at two
per calendar year. Sixty days is the ceiling without leaving.
Checked: 2026-10-23
Source: Royal Gazette, Ministry of Interior exemption
regulations https://ratchakitcha.soc.go.th/documents/128703.pdf
Page: https://stayingasia.com/entry/?destination=thailand Every answer carries the date the record was checked, the government instrument behind it, and the page that shows the same thing to a reader.
Where the answers come from
The server reads the entry dataset and the markdown records that build the site, exported during the build. There is no separate copy of any fact, so a rule that changes on a page changes the answer on the same deploy. If a destination or a country is not covered, the server says so instead of estimating.
Limits
It is read only. It answers in English, because the records are written in English, even where the page exists in five other languages. There is no rate limit beyond the platform in front of it, so keep queries reasonable.
The whole dataset is also published as plain text at /llms-full.txt if you would rather read it than query it.
